Welcome back to another We Tried It, and this week I tried my hand at a Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon dish.
With my current quest to lose body fat and get back into shape, I have tweaked my diet and got back into cooking fresh, healthy and tasteful dishes.
One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to 'Diets' are the bland dishes, and as I have a particular taste palate I find myself constantly not being able to follow meal plans because it always incorporates food that I am not keen on. So when I looked at fish dishes this one stood out the most for me, not only for how it looked but because it required little ingredients and can be ready in less than 30min.
First by pat drying the salmon to remove as much moisture, then lightly season it with salt and pepper and set aside.
Whilst the salmon is set aside heat the butter and oil then add garlic, water soy sauce, sriracha, honey and lemon juice. When it is hot add the salmon fillets (skin side down if applicable) then cook for a few minutes.
While the Salom cooks, use a spoon to baste the fillets, then allow it to broil for 5-6 minutes until the salmon is sticky, sweet, slightly charred and cooked to desired doneness.
